Arthur Jones, brother of UFC light heavyweight interim champion, Jon Jones, has been suspended without pay for the first four games of the season (roughly 25% of the regular season), after violating the NFL PED policy, according to NFL media insider, Ian Rapoport.

While it’s unknown what substance tested positive, it’s safe to say everyone in the sports business is curious to see if it’s estrogen blockers, the same substance Arthur Jones’ brother, Jon Jones, tested positive for in June. The UFC light heavyweight is currently on provisional suspension pending his hearing on the alleged violation.
Jon Jones’ manager Malki Kawa took to the airwaves July 20th on Chael Sonnen’s podcast, ‘You’re Welcome’ to say that they’ve identified the “the supplement… pill, or whatever he took,” that they believe is tainted, and are currently having it tested in preparation for Jon Jones’ hearing with the USADA.
This is a second of big disappointments in Arthur Jones’ highly anticipated role with the Indianapolis Colts. He was out all of last season with a severe ankle ligament injury, which eventually required surgery, and he was out for the entire preseason for physical therapy, so it will be interesting to see if this is an “Anderson Silva” situation, where he explains he was on steroids for the therapy. If so, hopefully a doctor will step forward to explain why this wasn’t revealed to the team ahead of drug testing.
Back in April, in an interview with TMZ, Arthur Jones expressed an interest in trying his hand at MMA when his football career comes to a close.
