This Week In Russian MMA #8: Frodo Set To Return In Grozny

After just recovering from the show that was UFC 214, it’s time for me to look over this past week of events in Russian MMA. This week we have highlights from Fight Nights Global, a rivalry looking to be settled with ACB likely to host it, two time TUF veteran and ‘Let me bang bro’ phenomenon Julian Lane signs up and has his first fight announced for later in the year while M-1 Global makes a great signing.

ACB:

A twitter feud heated up between Former Cage Warriors Featherweight Champ and Scouser Paddy Pimblett (13-2) and Brendan Loughnane, Full Contact Contender Lightweight Champ and Mancunian. This is the typical Liverpool vs Manchester rivalry. With Paddy only having one fight left on his current Cage Warriors contract, speculation has significantly risen about him moving to ACB and a British Superfight between the pair taking place. This would be a huge fight for England and a huge fight for ACB, this is a fight everyone wants to see. Watch the space on this one.
