In the co-main event of the evening a fantastic strawweight battle between highly touted prospect Alexa Grasso and the always game six-fight UFC veteran Randa Markos will take place as the two look to impress at UFC Fight Night 114.
After an ultra impressive eight-fight undefeated streak outside of the UFC and four of those wins coming in Invicta Fighting Championship, Guadalajara, Mexico’s 23-year-old prospect Alexa Grasso made a successful UFC debut as she dominated veteran fighter Heather Jo Clark end route to a unanimous decision victory. After improving to 9-0 the top prospect was, unfortunately, unable to continue her impressive streak dropping a unanimous decision to Felice Herrig in her last outing. Now looking to bounce back from her first career defeat, the Lobo Gym product will be looking to get back into the win column in a big way at UFC Fight Night 114.
Experienced Iraqi-Canadian mixed martial artist Randa Markos has had a rocky start to her UFC career amassing an uninspiring 3-3 record through six UFC fights. However, at UFC Fight Night 105 “Quiet Storm” was able to secure the biggest win of her career defeating the first ever UFC strawweight champion Carla Esparza by split decision. Now as the Baghdad, Iraq born fighter looks to capitalize on her new found momentum, Randa Markos will look to enter enemy territory and secure another major upset as she hopes to prove herself as a contender at 115-pounds.
